Pre-Desk Job

Lincoln Started his second year of preschool.  He starts a week later than the older kids.  He was going to ride the bus to and from, but this year they proposed to pick him up at 8:20 and have him on the bus for almost an hour.  I wasn't very keen on that so I decided to take him in the morning and then let the bus bring him home.  He's doing great!  I love it when he comes home and says "today we sang the Clean-Up song!"  They're doing something neat this year. They have a laminated sheet that they fill out with his days activities including the songs they sang, whether they played on the playground or not and even their snacks.  This has been such a great experience for him and I'm so thankful he's a part of it!

Desk Job

Another school year is here and the kids couldn't  be more excited!  Although they dread homework and sitting at a desk for hours at a time, they love the social aspect of it and truly excel academically.  I had to do my annual pictures on the first day and as you can see, they absolutely .... loved it.....
The principal did a really fun thing when the kids arrived at school.  They had a red carpet entrance with music and fellow classmates welcoming them for their first day.

Love Me Some Football

The boys football season is underway.  Scottie tried out again this year and made it on the "A" team.  He is playing both offense and defense positions, Cornerback and Wide receiver.  He has a pretty fun team.  They practice three times a week and then have a team dinner together on Fridays where they go over film and just chill.  I've been helping one of the mom's take pictures for the team at the games, in which we post on the teams facebook page.

Luke is with a great team with lots of his friends.  He didn't have to try out, thankfully.  His nickname from last year carried over, "Killer."  Some of his teammates, and even one of his coaches, didn't even know his real name was Luke.  They decided to give him this name because he comes out of nowhere and tackles like a beast.  This year he is playing both offense and defense positions- noseguard, linebacker, tight end, and running back.
