Scottie plays with the Lone Peak 10u Knights super league. His coaches decided to have the boys join the city league and be placed on different teams, then when it was time for picking the all star teams, they would reunite the original team. If they were to win all the games within the tournament, and become the champions of their division, they have the opportunity to go to California for further tournament games. Well, unfortunately there was a kink in the plan. I'm not sure of all the details, but basically Scottie got the short end of the stick. He was the only boy from their super league team, that didn't get placed on the all stars team with the rest of the boys. At least on the A team. It stinks and we were all got a bit huffy about it. It was more the fact that we were under the impression he would automatically be on the all star A team like the rest of his team and for me it stung a bit that he was the ONLY one from his team that got booted. There's always the silver lining though, right? RIGHT....Scottie was placed on the Lone Peak all star B team. And that's just what he was, a star! He's struggled with confidence for some reason on his super league team, placing him at the bottom of the list with stats. This B team he was a whole different kid though. Everything he did was pretty much awesome with little to no errors! He was second in the batting lineup, played either second, short or catcher in all tournaments and had an amazing batting average. We're so proud of our guy! He had a blast. The funnest part of this whole thing was that his team played in first the district tournament, then the state tournament. These boys didn't lose ONE game, that's 13-0. They became the undefeated state champions for their division. And the icing on the cake, they won every game by at least 10 runs! You couldn't scrape the smile off their faces if you tried!
