...today...

To My Angel~Colten,

Today is the day you were supposed to enter the world and leave the

comfort of my warm protective womb.

It is the day we would have held you in our arms inspecting

every inch of you marveling at God's miracle of life.

We would be in a hospital room in awe of the truly magical events

that just took place with family & friends at our side.

This day didn't quite go as Mommy had planned, but I look forward to

the day that I leave this earth to have the reunion with you

I was planning on having.

Once again with family & friends at my side, but this time

It be will be YOU..... waiting for me.

Until then, be mommies little Angel ~ In the arms of your

great grandma Arline, in the company of all our other loved ones,

in the presence of our loving Heavenly Father and

His son Jesus Christ.

Please know you will always be my little boy

and that you have a family who loves you and will do everything they

can to make sure we are together again.

I LOVE YOU SO VERY MUCH.

Love Always,

Mommy

Mother's

To both of my Moms,

I don't think we should have one designated day we celebrate Mother's. I think it's something we should celebrate year-round. You do so much that goes unrecognized. You're the type of person who has ALWAYS cared so much about others and put yourself last. I appreciate all of your many qualities. When life gets complicated I'm glad I can count on you to talk to and relieve my stresses. If I ever need any words of encouragement I know I can turn to you to lift me up. In my life I've experienced many ups and downs and I'm eternally grateful to say that I've had you by my side, guiding me. Warning me that the next bump ahead might be a little steeper than I would have expected. And then there to pick me up when I stumbled. The greatest gift given to me was from you....life. The greatest gift was given to another from my mother-in-law.....life to my dear husband. And in turn, we have been able to give that gift also, to our own. There's no greater joy than that of motherhood. And with that joy there comes a reward. The reward is the fruit of your labors. As you can see your fruit keeps dropping its seeds through life. As the seeds drop into the ground, it starts growing. And as it grows it plants its roots deep in the soil until it brings about this beautiful plant. And as the plant grows it blooms and flourishes unil you can finally see the tree of life you have given and the fruits you have labored so diligently to bring forth............

Cupcakes and Sprinkles

Photobucket

Savana requested a "cupcake" birthday party this year.

Photobucket

I didn't mind because that made things a little easy on me

Photobucket

Afterall, she's only wanted a cupcake maker since they first came out

Photobucket

I'm quite positive she loved all her party guests and gifts too

PhotobucketPhotobucket

Besides the lovely rain that ruined our back-yard party and a perfect area for the pinata, we had a lovely time

Photobucket

Thank you to everyone for showing Savana how much she is loved!!!

...she's the one...

She's the one that stole my heart and still
has it to this day....

She's
the one who has the brightest smile and sparkling eyes......

She's the one I love to be with and long for
when I'm gone.....

Photobucket

She was the first one to be my little girl and no matter how
old she is, I hope she always will be...

She's the one who makes me giggle with her quirky little questions...

I hope I'm the one that always holds a special place in her heart forever...

Happy Birthday Baby Girl!!!
Love you Always,
Mommy

...the GREATEST gift...

Would EASTER be the same without these three???

Photobucket

I think NOT!!!

PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket

EASTER for us meant - an EASTER egg hunt in the rain, an early morning discovery of special EASTER baskets, church with the family, and being grateful for why we celebrate EASTER.....JESUS

Conversing with an Angel

I have to share the conversation Savana and I shared yesterday:

S: Mom, how do aliens pick things up?
M: with their hands I guess.
S: Are there such things as aliens?
M: I don't know, I've never seen one.

S: When we go to Heaven, how do we get there?
M: Well, it's very magical.
S: When will Colten come back to the earth again?
M: When Jesus comes.
S: When will that be, when they're ready?
M: Oh yes, Savana, when they're ready.
S: I know how we can get to Heaven, you can just drive. And when you get tired, you can pull over and let dad drive.
I giggled quietly to myself
S: I think I'll sleep the whole way to Heaven.
S: Mom, when we're driving on our way to Heaven can we pull over at a gas station? I'd like to get some gum.
